PACE Month

Held every September in communities throughout North Carolina, PACE Month is the state’s largest event to raise awareness for PACE or Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly. The North Carolina PACE Association celebrated the nation’s first ever PACE month in 2016, and our success was soon adopted across the country. This inspiring time calls on people of all ages to support access to the high-quality long-term care provided by PACE. While organizations are eager to begin providing PACE in communities across the state, only a third of North Carolina's counties currently have access to a PACE program.

A theme for PACE month this year is “Supporting Caregivers, Supporting You,” highlighting the important role that caregivers play in the PACE model. Caregivers are the support system that help maintain the health of participants enrolled in PACE programs. By participating in PACE month, you can change the level of awareness about caregivers in your community. The North Carolina PACE Association invites you to attend an event at your local PACE program. There is no fee to participate and we encourage you to post your photos on social media under the hashtag #NCPACEMonth and #NationalPACEMonth.

Take the first step to seeing how PACE revolutionizes care by finding an event near you. Once you meet our staff members, you’ll see how you or your loved one can get the support they need to live at home and age with dignity and respect. Join us and lead the way to help frail elders get the care they need.
