The Conference took place on March 10 and 11, 2014 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in Durham, NC. Close to 200 professionals, NC PACE program representatives, sponsors and providers from throughout the state attended the conference! We were fortunate to have talented and knowledgeable speakers and workshop leaders to share and inspire with ideas and information, and the event would not have been possible without the support of active, involved sponsors and vendors who work with our PACE programs to provide products and services to benefit PACE clients, facilities and families.
This ground-breaking gathering was North Carolina’s first-ever statewide convening of professionals, providers, advocates, policy-makers and community leaders dedicated to improving and expanding PACE (Programs of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) for the benefit of our seniors in need, their families, and the state as a whole. In fact, it was the first statewide conference ever held in the country – a distinction we are proud to hold. With the increasing numbers of frail elderly, the rising cost of providing care to this population and the growing desire of people to age-in-place, there has never been a greater need or a better time to learn about this innovative approach to health care.

It was immediately clear to all in attendance that there is a real hunger, and need, out there for the opportunity to convene, collaborate, listen, learn and grow our PACE program. According to conference participants who completed a short survey, a full 99% of participants said they would attend a similar conference next year! So, in response to “market demand” we've decided to continue the conference on an annual basis.
